Ways to measure a New ERP functionality
By cute_kanku at 18 Apr 2020 - 16:01

Trend is changing so fast. Vendors are able to convince CIO’s to bring new Cloud ERP. Even it’s so much fancy to use words AI/ML/IOT etc. Often CFO/CIO/CTO’s must evaluate if a new ERP is needed. Reality of Cloud ERP or new ERP is with new functionality, enhancements, features which is good. But at large they merely cover deep & complex business needs. 1) Need of the hour is Digitization; but fact of the matter is that even applications are not providing solutions pertaining to SCM & other functionalities. 2) Cloud ERP cost more than traditional ERP. Increases your TCO by adding extra cost. 3) Down the line Customer have to replenish old IT Infrastructure at some point of time. Should they do right away or better to introspect by not compromising internal IT model. 4) Feasibility of deploying solutions may fascinate ROI. 5) Witnessed most of the time that its Enterprise process which is compromised not the ERP application. Time to rethink & re-organize your operational model to bring meaningful benefits, may not be ERP replacement. hashtag

Important Note: Evidently maximum ERP failures are due to lack of Change Management (Culture change, Hierarchical change, Technology change etc.), not facilitating your key Users with training, clear roles & responsibilities, handling stakeholders, mode of communication. Due to which Technologies are redundant for your business, Of course no ERP is straight fit for one Business.

List down your capacity to use modules/processes/functions you may need. It would give you cushion to decide which license you need to bring. Likewise you can end up having adequate applications aligned with business need.
