POSITION SUMMARY Assists with the development and maintenance of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program (BAAN 4). Customizes and configures workflow to allow the integration of client/server applications. Tests ERP layout to ensure the system is meeting corporate needs. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Capable of leading and directing the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Additionally, responsible for providing business and systems analysis for the IT Organization towards the delivery of sound IT system(s) solutions and process improvements, specifically focusing on the organization’s BAAN 4 ERP system. To accomplish this, the IT ERP Business Analyst role includes planning, business requirements gathering, conducting and executing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with improved business processes and/or system enhancements/automation. The individual will provide technical and functional assistance to End Users while evaluating and developing systems solutions/procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: •Work closely with End Users from each business unit to identify areas of opportunity to leverage the BAAN 4 ERP system to meet current business needs. •Drive standardized processes across the system to simplify business processes. •Work closely with End Users to understand and prioritize business requirements and information needs, then translate these needs into functional requirement documents and design specifications. Then refine conceptual systems design requirements into high-level technical design document. •Adhere to IT best practices and methodologies by gathering and documenting business requirements, developing project plans, obtaining business approvals, conducting risk assessment analysis, testing procedures, implementation of changes, and overall project management to ensure goals are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and cost. •Provide Level 2 and Level 3 functional and technical support to End Users working within the BAAN 4 system. Manage system bugs; analyze root cause of problems and provide direction for work-arounds, corrections and enhancements. •Ability to create process documentation and train End Users. •Serve as the functional and technical lead for IT Projects related to the BAAN 4 system (plan, manage, track, execute and report all efforts related to the Project). •This role combines BAAN 4 ERP systems subject matter expertise and seasoned business analyst skills. To this end, the resource will have responsibility to conduct gap analysis, coordination of gap closure through development of business process changes, conference room pilots, integration testing, system implementation and post-production support. •Provide after-hours on-call support as scheduled Travel may be occasionally required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE •Requires Bachelor’s Degree or higher; or related experience and/or Training; or equivalent combination of education and experience •5-7 years’ previous technical experience in ERP implementations and support
•6+ years BAAN 4 experience (Financial module experience preferred) •8+ years IT Business Analyst experience or equivalent •Must have strong understanding of software development life cycle from design, requirements gathering, analysis, deployment, testing methodologies, training, change management and production support. •Strong customer service skills, organizational change management and communication skills •Solid understanding of business practices with fundamental conceptual understanding of project management methodology. •Business experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project). •Ability to maintain a business perspective in the establishment of project priorities. •Ability to communicated (Oral/Written) effectively and coordinate action with all levels of the organization. •Highly organized with strong attention to detail
