This is a permanent position to support the administration of two Baan IVc4 ERP installations. The position requires an on-site 40 hour work week. The position could also require weekend work, after hours support and carrying a cell phone for monitoring of system issue alert notifications.
The Baan user base is approximately 2000 users with 750 concurrent licenses between the two sites. Users are located throughout the world.
Databases instances are located in US and Germany running Informix 7.31.
Separate IBM hardware running AIX 5.1 is located at the two sites.
Supported Baan language in the US is English and in Germany German and English languages are supported. The position does not require German language skills.
The position will handle all Baan administration functions as outlined in the major responsibilities section below.
Major Duties/ Responsibilities
**Responsible for worldwide Baan support and system administration. **Follow all established policies and procedures and create the required documentation. **Migrate customizations to the production environment. **Perform patch analysis and installation. **Monitor and setup batch jobs. **Troubleshoot and perform traces of session processing. **Create DEM roles, flows and user ids. **Grant authorization permissions to user ids. **Provide support for the wireless data collection environment **Monitor Baan batch jobs and carry company cell phone 1-2 weeks per month to monitor jobs remotely. **Ensure Baan SOX procedures are followed. **Point of contact with the Baan Support (Infor) Group and entering of support issues. **Participate in monthly weekend recycles of the Baan application and hardware. **Perform table re-orgs as required. **Completion of assigned Baan help desk tickets in line with service level agreements. **Create new Baan companies as required. **Monitor and setup of Baan table auditing. **Understanding and support of automated email processes. **Monitor Baan system performance
